Zenith Bank Denies Funding Fayose’s 2014 Election
Zenith Bank Plc has reportedly denied funding Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose’s gubernatorial campaign im 2014.
Online news platform, SaharaReporters stated this via its twitter handle on Thursday.
Ayodele Fayose had released a statement earlier today opening up on how his election was allegedly funded by the Zenith Bank Plc, close friends and associates.
He denied having any financial transaction whatsoever with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) under Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) and former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.
But in a swift reaction, Zenith Bank according to Sahara Reporters, denied funding his election, adding that the governor Fayose wanted them to conceal how NSA funds was laundered but they can’t.
The bank said all documents required to nail him have been handed over to the Econonic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and he was upset about it.
