Zamfara Sharia Court Sworn-In 17 Judges
Seventeen new sharia court judges were sworn in in Zamfara state to run the affairs of various courts across the state.
At the occasion, the Acting State Grand Khadi, Alhaji Dahiru Mohammed Gusau who sworn in the judges urged them to discharge their duties in accordance with the ethics of the profession.
He also advised them to shun any act that will tarnished their image and that of judicial system in the state and the country at Large.
Alhaji Mohammed Gusau further enumerated some qualities of judicial staff which are expected on them too.
In her speech, the State Chief judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu warned them against collecting extinction or bribe from plaintiffs adding that any one found wanting will be dismissed.
She also warned judges against lateness, personal interest, and other unwanted behaviors during and after their court proceedings.
The Chief judge also declared a two day refresher course for the newly sharia court judges.
