WikiLeaks to Release Debut Album
Famous Whistleblower and global clearinghouse for classified data and sensitive documents, known for their 2010 release of diplomatic cables between governments and people in government is set to release its debut album titled ‘Beat the Blockade’.
Beat the Blockade as reported by Yahoo News will consist of 12 tracks, including “The Ballad of Julian Assange”, “B Manning” and “Where There Are No Secrets”.
The album which is billed to be released on the 5th of August and will sell for a price of $5 is part of efforts by WikiLeaks to fund its activities since the financial blockade imposed on it by the Bank of America, VISA, MasterCard, PayPal and others since December, 2010.
The proceeds of the album sales will specifically be channeled to keeping the website running or to the WikiLeaks and Julian Assange Defense Fund.
It had earlier established its own online TV show, The World Tomorrow, hosted by Assange, and a social network, Friends of WikiLeaks.
