Why I Resigned As PDP Chairman – Adamu Mua’zu
The former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ahmed Muazu has explained reasons for his resignation.
Mua’zu, who has been under immense pressure to resign his position cited health reasosn for his decision.
Though sources said he traveled out of the country to avoid mounting pressure in the heat of the call for his resignation, Mua’zu who earlier vowed not to bow to the pressure said he traveled abroad to seek medical attention.
He and other members of the party’s National Working Committee has been at the receiving end of general apprehension by President Goodluck Jonathan men as they accuse them of working against his interest during the 2015 presidential elections.
He is about the sixth person to resign as chairman of the PDP under the nearly six year reign of President Goodluck Jonathan.
