Why Buhari Is Yet To Appoint Senior Officials Into His Administration
Exactly one week? after he was sworn in as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to appoint senior officials who will form the core of his government.
While Nigerians anxiously await this appointment, sources traced the delay to the late presentation of the hand over not by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Vanguard report, the former president is all to blame for the delay.
The report reads:
“A senior associate of the president yesterday traced the delay in the announcement of the president’s senior aides to the delay in the transmission of the handover notes by the Jonathan officials to the transition team constituted by Buhari ahead of his inauguration.
“All we have been doing since Friday is poring over these notes. This is because you need to know the position of things before you delegate the appropriate personnel to any establishment of government,” a source privy to the ongoing developments told Vanguard last night.
