Wake Up Call to Nigerlites By Muhammed Muhammed
Let me begin by praying for the soul of the reposed; Late Alhaji Dahiru Awaisu Kuta May his soul rest in Jannah and may GOD give the family and the entire people of Niger East the fortitude to bear the huge lost. Words can’t express the sorrow our heart feels. He was a peacemaker & keeper, Nation builder, Youth empower er just to mention but few.
He has been a political umpire long before now with uncountable contributions to the development of humanity through his diligent services. In 1983, as the minority whip in Niger state house of assembly, He ensured that everything is done in accordance, also served as Deputy Director Administration of directorate for PDP national Hqtrs, former secretary to the Government of Niger state, he was House chairman business and Rules federal house of Reps, where he proposed several bills and ensure rules are been made to foster an enabling business friendly economy. He was until his unexpected departure the chairman senate committee on federal character & inter-Governmental Affairs where he contributed immensely to the development of humanity. We will surely miss you.
Democracy they say is the metamorphosis of politics and as such you expect all forms of it to come in to play. Niger state a state with a population of over 3million people, well endowed with intellectuals has a governor that has not leave up to expectations of Niger people (Nigerlites).
Chief Servant, as far as I know has failed us beyond reasonable doubt, his led administration have affected almost all sectors in the state negatively.
He (chief servant) at a point in time ban the state civil service from recruiting civil servants. Salary of workers in the state is very poor and is always been delayed. Throughout his seven years as the Governor so far no new project is been executed in any of the 24LGAs of the state, he only pay attention to the state capital with substandard projects on ground.
Our roads are in a very bad condition, in fact, Niger state have the worst roads in the Zone (North-central). Human rights have long been denied under his watch. He works with advisers who have never give him advice since he came on board.
These happenings always give me a flash back of Niger state under the leadership of former governor Engr. Abdulkadir A. Kure things were good, he promoted and deliver dividends of democracy. We are indeed missing him.
2015 general elections is barely Ten months from Now and politicians from both Ruling party and opposition are warming to succeed him.
Rumor has it that he(chief servant) is working towards making a member from his cabinet his successor, the source revealed that his favorite could be his deputy Mr Ahmed Ibeto or commissioner for works, Mr Muazu Bawa.
Mr Ibeto is a former member of the Fifth Assembly of federal house of reps. He (Ibeto) as a member had no single project in his constituency, as deputy governor, he did the same. Emphatically speaking, not even his immediate Family members have benefited from him than to talk of public.
I am urging stakeholders in the state, people like Engr. Abdulkadir Kure, and others to save the future of over three million indigenes of the state by bringing in the deserving and accountable candidate for nigerlites.
Long live Niger Youths,
Long live Niger state,
Long live Nigeria.
