Vigilante Groups Kill Scores of Boko Haram Members in Borno
Efforts by some youths in some villages in Borno State to protect their lives and that of their community from the deadly assaults of insurgents group yielded fruit over the weekend as members of vigilante group succeeded in killing of scores of members of the Boko Haram sect.
Some of the sect members met their waterloo Friday as they were disarmed mysteriously on arriving Attagara in Gwoza local government area. Seven of the insurgents were killed by the youths in the village, while three escaped.
Similarly, in Kawuri, scores of gunmen suspected to be members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists were on Monday morning killed by the combined team of men of the Vigilante youths, popularly called the Civilian JTF and the military.
