Vice President Osinbajo Holds Private Meeting With Senator Ayogu Eze
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on Monday held a private meeting with Senator Ayogu Eze.
Senator Eze, who was accompanied by Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, arrived at the Villa at about 2pm Nigerian time and was ushered into the vice president’s office.
His visit to the Villa followed his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ayogu Eze was the People’s Democratic, PDP, Senator, representing Enugu North from 2007 to 2015.
He also aspired for the ticket of the PDP to run for the governorship position in Enugu State in 2015 but lost.
The former lawmaker sought reprieve at the courts, claiming that due process was not followed in the primaries that produced Ugwuanyi.
He lost the protracted legal battle at the Supreme Court in July this year.
