Vice President Osinbajo Attends World Economic Forum In Switzerland
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will attend the 48th World Economic Forum taking place from the 23rd to 26th January in Davos, Switzerland.
The theme of this year’s edition of the WEF is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World”, with emphasis on finding ways to reaffirm international cooperation on shared interests on matters such as the global economy, international security and the environment.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, said in a release that while in Davos, Prof. Osinbajo would hold a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of other countries, international business interests and development partners.
Akande also said there would also be a special forum specifically for Nigeria, which involves engagement and interaction with Development Finance Institutions and Global Institutional Investors in support of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan of the Buhari administration.
The Vice President will also participate in other meetings and events at the WEF billed to be attended by several heads of governments from around the world.
