U.I Institutes Scholarship for 6 Top Post UTME Candidates

In what seems to be a step in expanding frontiers of knowledge through provision of excellent conditions for learning, the University of Ibadan has instituted a scholarship programme for its best six top candidates who brilliantly performed in the just concluded Post UTME examination of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor has announced this development during a press conference held at the Senate Chambers of the institution, recently.
Consequently, the Vice Chancellor has, however, approved that these top 6 candidates, having scored over 80 per cent in the exam, be awarded University Scholarships, subject to their full clearance by the Admissions Office and continued excellence performance at the University.
Giving the statistics of the participants in the examination, Professor Adewole, stated that the total number of students that registered for the examination were 8,844; 6,267candidates scored above 50; 2,351 candidates failed the examination while 226 candidates were absent.
The Vice-Chancellor, however, added that the University of Ibadan remains committed to getting the very best students in the country to be its students.
