Tinubu Finally Returns to Nigeria, Says I’ Alive and Well”
After weeks of speculation over the state of his health, one of the National leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has finally returned to the country on Thursday evening.
Tinubu whose plane touched down at the Execujet hanger of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at exactly 9:47pm told reporters upon his arrival that he is “alive and well.”
I’m alive and well, I never needed Panadol,” Tinubu said.
He spoke against the backdrop of reports which circulated over his health status, with rumours making the rounds that could no longer recognise his family members. There were also wild rumours on the social media that he had died on Tuesday night.
Tinubu left Nigeria for the US in early August, from where he proceeded to the UK for what was described as his usual vacation.
He was expected back in the country on Tuesday, but had to move his return to Thursday as a result of a series of business meetings he had in the UK, a source said.
