Three Simultaneous Bomb Explosions Rock Kano Central Mosque, Many Killed

Three simultaneous bomb explosions went of at the Kano Central Mosque on Friday, killing aa yet to be ascertained number of Muslim worshippers.
According to eye witnesses, the first explosion went of just as Muslims faithful were on the verge of observing the traditional Friday Prayers, causing serious pandemonium as people ran helter-skelter for dear lives.
The first explosion went off at about 2 p.m. before the Imam of the mosque, Sani Zahradeen, started for the Friday sermon and was immediately followed by the two other explosions.
The three explosions was said to have been followed by sporadic gunshots.
Already the police have cordoned off the entire area searching for explosive devices while the entire mosque has been deserted.
