Tambuwal Wins Sokoto APC Governorship Primary, Promises Qualitative Leadership
Reports from the Sokoto APC governorship primaries indicates that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal has also won the primary election conducted in the state.
The Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal polled 3466 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senatior Umaru Dahiru, who scored votes.
Another aspirant, Yushau Kebbe, got 13 votes, while two other aspirants got no vote at all, an indication that they either did not participate in the primary or did not vote for themselves.
Speaking on his victory, Tambuwal said He said he is delighted to have won the election, promising to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

“If elected, we will focus on education, health, infrastructure development and indeed women and youth empowerment.”
