Land Lady Finds Human Skeleton In Pastor’s House In Ogun [Photos]

A human skeleton, believed to be that of a woman, was found in a pastor’s house in Peace Land Estate, Akute, Ogun State, yesterday.

According to eyewitnesses, the shocking discovery was made when the owner of the pastor’s house tried to evict him from his flat over late payment of rent.

“The pastor did not pay his rent for a year. The landlady, who was angry with the situation of things, stormed his home with some people in-order to evicthim, but were shocked when they discovereda human skeleton inside,” one of the sources revealed.

People in the neighbourhood were attracted to the scene while the matter was quickly reported to the police.

However the suspect, who owns a church, was said to have made some revelations about the skeleton. He alleged that it belonged to his sister. According to him, his parents had just three children – himself and two sisters. He said he lived with them in the flat.

However, for sometime now, one of the sisters named Funmi has not been seen again.
When people asked about her, “he would say she went to the mountain,” said the source.

She, however, allegedly died since 2010 and her body was abandoned in the house.
From the position of the skeleton, it appeared the deceased was kneeling on the ground

The Police have since arrested the suspect.

In recent times many suspects have been arrested with skulls and other human parts in different parts of Ogun State including Abeokuta and Sango Ota.

Dino Melaye Acquires 93 Year Old Vintage Rolls Royce Car For N180m [Photos]

The current economic recession does not seem to be affecting flamboyant Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye, as he is reportedly in possession of a 93-year-old Rolls Royce estimated at N180 million.

The picture of the Rolls Royce is reported to have been secretly taken in his garage, during a visit to his residence in the highbrow Maitama District of the FCT in Abuja, during a visit on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

A source said, “Senator Dino Melaye is very smart, he actually got the car from Las Vegas two years ago. At that time, he was busy committed with anti-graft crusade as Executive Secretary of Anti-Corruption Network (ACN) but decided to keep it in secrecy.”

A Google check on the car indicated that the Rolls Royce is a rare collectible item that is not only scarce but very expensive.

Checks have confirmed that the Rolls Royce which is a 1923 model is 93 years old, and is used by only a few persons in a special grade.

Mr. Melaye, a first-time senator who represents Kogi Central, owns a fleet of luxury and antiquated cars worth billions of Naira.

He has at least 28 of the expensive cars parked at his upmarket residence in Maitama Abuja, according to the news website, Sahara Reporters.

In February, Mr. Melaye, who once led a nongovernmental organisation campaigning against corruption, posed in a 2015 Slingshot estimated to cost about N4.78 Million.

Presidency Rules Out Private Sector In Economic Team

The Presidency says private sector players will not be members of the National Economic Management Team (NEMT) under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The economic team, headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, is the federal government’s think-thank responsible for the formulation of the nation’s economic policy direction.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, yesterday said the Presidency considered the management of the economy a government responsibility.

“It’s not something that this government believes should be done by bringing in some of the private interests into the economic team to take a decision that they’ll be directly involved with. So, our stand is that the management of the economy is a government responsibility,” Akande said in an interview with journalists.

Akande,  who said the economic team had been constantly engaging relevant stakeholders, added: “The team has been able to set out before the budget trying to figure out what the budget ought to focus on. After the budget was presented and eventually signed, there was also the publication of the strategic implementation plan which was produced in a reader-friendly format.

“All of these are the outcomes of what the economic management team does and it’s also in the team that you’ve the heap of the whole physical and monetary policies. The team meets every Monday and makes proposals and suggestions to the president.

But then, the team is actually like an ad-hoc committee of the Federal Executive Council, and that’s why we don’t throw a lot of media around it because it’s a committee meant to advise Mr. President.

“So, the team, for instance, defined six themes around the economy and used that to build the budget and reflate the economy. The first is policy, governance and security including ensuring a stable and predictable currency exchange rate and securing the nation. The second one is diversification which includes achieving targeted self sufficiency in agriculture produce and increasing private sector investments.

“The third is infrastructure development which includes the completion of several NIPPs, the Lagos -Calabar coastal railway, among others. Oil and gas reform is the fourth one and it includes privatisation of refineries and ensuring gas availability to power the plants. The ease of doing business is the fifth. The last is the social investment meant to assuage unemployment pains, development of human capacity, improve school enrolment,” he said.
