Soliloquy on Goodluck Ebele Jonathan
Everything in Creation Must Obey a law, its True in Words as it is in Deeds!
Were the paid pipers of President Jonathan true to him, they would have warned him, they would have told him the truth that things aren’t really as they seem, that there is so much pain and anger in the land. Were the president’s wife playing her role as a wife and not wearing rose colored glasses, she too would have told him that the gods are angry.
But then we all know the prayer President Jonathan failed to say, “lord protect me from my friends and loved ones, my enemies I can take care of”.
It is sad that neither the National Security Adviser nor the Chief of Army Staff has seen it fit to train Mr. President on the principles of finding own position.
Had he looked as a good general should, he would have seen that power lies with the people! Had they been fair to him they would have told him Nigeria is not like any other country, our actions and inactions defy known logic.
They would have told him to sort the issues killing the nation, to hold his words as his bond of honor, 2015 will take care of its self.
The People here represented by Governors and Members of the Joint Houses are unhappy and angry! While he might not have thoughts of ever going back to live amongst his people, these representatives live amongst the people and will bear the brunt of the collective anger of the people.
The PDP walkouts and its fragmentation are an early warning sign to make it right, indeed this might just be the starting point of a prophecy that he will end up in jail for 7 years.
The Deaths occasioned by people whom he has told the nation he knows but has failed to bring to book is ongoing, the discomfort it brings is still biting, the pains of gross mismanagement and corruption is over bearing.
They had to walk out on him and they will keep doing so till the people get what they want – a peaceful, prosperous and functional Nigeria! A Nigeria where there is rule of law and the leadership is sensitive to the plight of the people.
The callous and uncaring attitude of government must change, everything but the bank accounts of a selected few is going down, a sad day it is indeed that the academician President has no thoughts or care for the plight of education nor health and wellbeing of the Nation.
Oga na de beginning be dis o!
Time don reach make you check yourself, look all de mata well well, do correct action repair mata, befor yawa gas for your mata!
In other words this could mark the beginning of your fall, it is said that pride comes before a fall, so put it aside, roll your sleeves up and take bold life changing steps.
Reorganize your team, you know those who kiss ass, kick them out! Replace them with quality and substance.
Bring that abrupt end to the killings, bad governance and corruption that you have so many times promised us, even if it means walking the path of General Murtala Mohammed – Let Your Government Not Condone Abuse of Office, Indiscipline, Corruption and Injustice!
As I listened to Jimmy Cliff’s House of Exile I couldn’t help but see the reflection of Mr. President in it;
There is Day of feasting and a day of faming, a day of sadness and a day of joy.
You couldn’t see on your day of feasting, life isn’t just a little play like toy, so your day arrives when you least expect it.
You always thought you were well protected. Now you feel like a fish out of water, so now you are wondering what’s the matter.
I remember you said it wouldn’t happen to you, now you are thinking how to start a new, you were warned but you wouldn’t take heed.
Everything in creation must obey a law, its true in words as it is in deeds, you were so boxed up in your bumps and pride, now you are so exposed you got nothing to hide.
Yes you used to look down on the folks beside you, never did think you would come down too.
Remember they say you got to reap what you sow, simple truth everybody knows, what do you want in the house of exile?
watching you now on your last mile. If only to listen and to hear were same, but then …
