Shi’ite Leader, Sheik El-Zakzaky Speaks To The Press, Says ‘I Am Doing Better’
For the first time in more than one year since he was arrested by NIGERIAN security forces, leader of Islamic movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known has Shiite group Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has spoken to the press today.
Dress in white flowing gown with a turban, El-Zakzaky spoke with journalist at a safe facility in Abuja.
In a one-minute 20 seconds interaction with journalists, the secret leader cracked jokes with the journalists as he moved towards them in the facility.

Journalist : Good Afternoon sir?
Sheikh Zakzaky: How are you?
Journalist: Can we have a word with you?
Sheikh El-Zakzaky: If they agree and allow me (He says so jokingly)
Journalist: How are you feeling now?
Sheik El-Zakzaky: I am feeling better the security (officers) have allowed me to see my doctor, my personal doctor. I thank God. I am improving
Journalist: Do you have anything to add.
Sheikh El-Zakzaky: I thank you for all your prayers
Journalist: Thank you sir
Sheikh ElZakzaky: Thanks (As he walked away)
The appearance of the sheik leader today may not be unconnected to rumour of his death.
Palpable fear and apprehension had enveloped Abuja and some other parts of the country following widespread rumour of his purported death in detention.
But a top security source has confirmed that he is alive and stable.
“The rumour is handmade of mischievous makers who would stop at nothing to cause confusion among the followers or other ulterior motives”, said the Secret Service.
