Senate President Saraki To Read Buhari’s Ministerial List On Tuesday
Senate President Bukola Saraki will on Tuesday read out the names of President Buhari’s ministerial nominees during plenary on Tuesday.
The statement by the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, confirmed that Saraki has received the list ministers from the president.
He further added that following tradition of the senate, the list will be read out during the October 6 resumption of plenary.
“Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki this evening received the list of Ministerial nominees sent to the Senate for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
“The list was submitted in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).”
“Dr. Saraki has, following the tradition of the Senate, decided to open the envelope and read out the names out to his colleagues on Tuesday, October 6, during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber.”
Nigerians who have waited anxiously for the release of the ministerial list will have to wait till Tuesday before they can know who the president has decided will form his cabinet.
