Re: A Dozen Manchester United Players Must Go – Robbie Savage By Shafii Abdulhamid
I read on Robbie Savage‘s BBC Sport Column where he said that a dozen Manchester United players must leave in order to save their season. As a ManUnited fan I like that idea.
But the problem is that Robbie Savage stole that idea from my heart. He also stole the complete list from my heart, but then he made one selfish substitution. He removed Phil Jones’ name from the list of those that are to leave and then replaced it with Chicharito Hernandezs name. Now that is not in my original list, but I understand why he did that.
For those that did not know Robbie Savage let me attempt to tell you something about him. In his playing days, his name is synonymous with RED CARDs. Savage started his playing career as a trainee striker at Manchester United but never got to see the first team and left early. He is a no nonsense middle of the park Mugu. No player will enjoy playing against the Welsh man because of his hard tackles. He plays for many Premier League clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Derby County, Birmingham City and Leicester City. He is now a former player turn football analyst.
Phil Jones is no doubt a mirror image of Savage and he likes seeing him in United’s colors. In other words, Savage likes seeing a replica of his former self in the ManUnited colors, what he could not achieve in his playing days.
In my own opinion, Phil Jones is a good player but he is not of Uniteds caliber. Jones is not Nicky Butt and his is not Veron and can never be, so he should also leave. Chicharito should stay, he only needs playing time to improve. With Mata now in the place that matters, Chelsea will soon release their mistake and I hope Savage will not come looking for more ideas from me. And for those that says Old Trafford is now the theater of nightmares, I know they shall soon hide their faces as the dream continues.
United we stand and United for life.
