PTAD Boss Sharon Ikeazor Conferred With Chieftancy Title
From running a prison outreach programme which undertakes free legal services for inmates awaiting trial, to being at the forefront of the campaign for women’s rights and for the girl child’s education, to bringing a new order that has brought in digitization, biometric capturing, easy verifications, BVNs and all the modern instruments that have weeded out past bottlenecks and discrepancies, and ensuring that the sufferings of Nigerian pensioners come to an end, Barrister Sharon Ikeazor’s leadership style and philosophy is worthy of emulation and commendation by all.
Barrister Sharon’s appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 26th, of September 2016, provided her the big platform to bring to reality, her vision to positively impact lives in a larger scale and contribute immensely to National development.
Since her appointment, hundreds of thousands of pensioners have had cause to smile again, and when she was conferred with the chieftaincy title of “ADA IGBO JI-EJE MBA 1 of Aba” on the 25th, January 2019, by HRM Eze, Dr. I.A Ikonne (JP) Enyi 1 Of Aba on his 90th Birthday celebration, and 45 years anniversary on the throne, pensioners bodies like Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Association of War Affected Retired Police Officers (AWARPO) and other groups were there to celebrate with her.
Barrister Sharon fondly called “Mama Pension” was happy that many of the pensioners were present as she takes her first title in the South Eastern Nigeria.
She prayed for the Eze, Dr. I.A Ikonne to live longer so many can gain from his wealth of experience and also thanked the Royal father for honouring her and recognizing her contribution to Nigeria.
