Protest On Osibanjo’s visit to Kano, A Malicious Propaganda, By Alhassan Dambatta
Many media platforms have reported of a protest by Kano people during the just concluded visit by the vice president Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.
While it is true that such protest was witness during the vice president visit to Kano today, but what is not reported and is not known to many Nigerians is that the protest was wickedly stage managed by some Biafran’s in Nigeria’s clothing.
I happened to be at the Muhammad Abubakar Rimi market where Osibanjo was received by the indigines of Kano state, especially those that have lost their lively hood to the market inferno, but to many people’s surprise, just from no where, those protesting individuals appeared shouting “things are hard ooh, no fuel, no money”
In their lamentations, designed to intimidate the vice president, residents of Sabon Gari town came and display their nuisance, holding placards with inscriptions which only succeeded in exposing the onus of the staged managed protest.
It was only by share design of God’s intervention that the visit ended peacefully, otherwise, an ethnic war would have engulfed the state by now. You don’t go to a state where the president is the most popular politician and protest against his interest and go scot free.
It is believed by many Indigenes of the state who are mostly hausa people that, president Muhammad Buhari has no equal, they believed for now there is non better than him in public domain, that his integrity is unequal, that no matter the situation and conditions in Nigeria presently, President Buhari is doing the right thing in all sectors of the components. They further believed that Buhari will not and will never steal from the coffers of the Nigerian state. Kano people are die hard Buharist and will fight any disgruntled action that may jeopardize their hope for change.
All the people who took part in that protest where non-indigines of the state, that was why it almost turned into some ethnic war.
The truth of the issue is that, some people of Sabon Gari town, mostly occupied by the Igbos staged the protest in conformity with Biafra ideal and agenda, they held meetings somewhere to stage a protest against the visit of the vice president and by extension rubbished the president Buhari change agenda.
My advice to organisers of this kind of protest is that, they should make sure their next protest is only organized in their towns and villages because Kano people are peaceful people, hence, it is mischievous to even think that Kano people will contemplate protesting against any policy by the present government of Muhammad Buhari.
It is nationally acknowledged that the present government of Muhammad Buhari have exalted in pursuing the solutions to all Nigeria’s problems. The PDP’s inept and terrible leadership within the last 16years have only exposed Nigeria and Nigerians to the present hardships experienced in the country. The oil cartels have played great role in ensuring the deflation of Nigerians dreams and aspirations, the independent oil marketers held Jonathan by the guts, the reason he surrenders to their dictates. If we want fuel, we must allow them control the price.
President Muhammad Buhari is a man of no business as usual, hence their attempts to sabotage the fuel supply, they want Buhari to play the ball according to their rules, he has since refused but continue to explore other strategy to end it once and for all.
Nigerians must exercise a little patience, Nigeria is on the road to greatness, Nigeria is on the way to Eldorado.
