President Jonathan’s Country Home In Otuoke Battles with Flood
The ravaging flood been witnessed in different parts of the country has extended to the country of President Goodluck Jonathan in Otuoke, Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa preventing him from gaining access to the property.
The flood that has submerged about 90 percent of the state has displaced the president from his village mansion and all domestic aides left in the compound.
Faced with the embarrassment, the state governor, Henry Seriake Dickson today ordered the immediate evacuation of the president’s aides and kinsmen from the flood ravaged town.
To buttress the significance of the evacuation, iReports-ng.com gathered that the state deputy governor, Rear Admiral Gborubiogha John Jonah (rtd) was directed to go to the president’s town to coordinate the effort. The evacuated residents were said to have been moved to a safer location converted to relief camp within the community.
Efforts are on by Bayelsa government offiat the time of publishing this report to salvage some of the president’s personal belongings that are yet to be damaged from the flooded mansion.
