President Buhari Sets Up Committee To Probe Death Of 26 Nigerian Female Migrants
President Muhammadu Buhari, has constituted a committee to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of 26 teenage Nigerian migrant girls found dead in the Mediterranean sea early this month.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu,made this nown to State House correspondents on Friday night.
The committee is headed by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, and has Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Sports and Youths and Women Affairs as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, as members.
Additionally, the committee is also mandated to examine the reported sale of Nigerian citizens through slavery and report to the Federal Executive Council within one week.
