President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Paris, France to participate in the first edition of the Paris Peace Forum.
The President whose official aircraft touched down at Le Bourget Airport, Paris at 10.05Pm was received on arrival by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, other senior diplomatic staff of the Nigerian embassy in Paris and some ministers.
The Nigerian President will join the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres and other world leaders at the peace forum to discuss contributions towards global peace while underscoring the imperative of collective action.
The forum is an initiative of the French Government and a number of Non-Governmental Organisations aimed at rallying international support and cooperation in tackling global challenges and ensuring durable peace.
President Buhari who will also join other world leaders to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the end of World War 1 is expected to interact with Nigerians resident in Paris before returning to Abuja on Wednesday next week.
Governors of Ekiti, Anambra and Katsina States are senior Government functionaries that accompanied the Nigerian leader to Paris.
