Presidency Receives 2016 Budget Details From National Assembly
The presidency on Thursday received the details of the 2016 budget from the National Assembly.
The two Senior Special Assistants to the president on National Assembly matters, Eta Enang and Kawu Ismaila presented the budget documents to the Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari Thursday Morning.
The Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmunin Jibrin (APC, Kano), had yesterday delivered the budget document to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Salisu Maikasuwa, for onward transmission to the President.
Jibrin, who spoke to journalist shortly after emerging from the office of the clerk explained that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on NASS Affairs had been duly informed and was expected to deliver it as soon as possible.
Attention now shifts to the president for his assent to the budget. He had previosly said that he will critically scrutinise the budget details when it is eventually sent to him.
