Kaduna State Primary Health care Development Agency says it has achieved remarkable success in five round of polio immunisation conducted across the state in 2018.
Deputy Director In Charged of Public enlightenment of the agency, Alhaji Hamza Ibrahim Ikara disclosed this in Kaduna.
He said in each round of the exercise conducted, the agency had successfully immunised over two point five million children across the twenty three local government areas of the state.
Alhaji Hamza Ikara noted that the state has over one thousand health facilities that provide routine immunisation across the state as well as thirty-two secondary health care facilities that conduct daily immunisation for children.
He explained that vigilante groups had supported the health workers particularly in hard-to-reach areas to ensure that children below the age of five were immunised.
Hamza Ikara stressed the need for parents and care givers not to relent in their effort at any round of polio immunisation to present their children to be immunised.
