Police Raid: Atiku, Okowa, Others Visit Clark
Following Tuesday’s raid of the Abuja home of Elder Statesman, Chief Edwin Clark by men of the Nigeria police over alleged arms stockpile, former Vice President and Presidential aspirant Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, have paid a visit to the elderstatesman.
Atiku, in his speech, described the incident as an invasion and condemnable act by men of the Nigerian Police.
Governor Okowa, on his part, said the raid was an injustice to statesmen in the class of over ninety year old Edwin Clark.
Clark, who appreciated the visit, said the police hierarchy and government should stop deceiving Nigerians by making scape goats of the police operatives who raided his house.
