Police Confirms Arrest Of Two Suspects In Kano Killing, Denies Report Of Beheading
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two persons suspected to have participated in the murder of an Igbo woman, Mrs Bridget Agbahime.
Addressing journalists on the issue, the Police Commissioner, Maigari Dikko, confirmed the murder and the arrests but denied earlier report that the woman was beheaded.
This is just as the Kano State government has pledged justice for the late Agbahime.
Rising from a meeting chaired by the State governor, Abdulahi Ganduje and attended by prominent people including the state Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Ransome Bello, husband o the deceased, Pastor Mike Agbahime, Islamic scholars and security agencies, the governor asserted that justice must be done in the matter, in accordance the provisions o the constitution assuring that his government would ensure that justice is done.
Governor Ganduje, who pledged to support the bereaved family of Mrs. Agbahime in the trying period expressed deep condolences to the family on behalf of the government and people of the state.
