PDP New Media Director, Adeyanju Refuses To Honour Police Invitation Over Assault Charges, May Be Arrested
The Director, New Media of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, has turned down repeated invitation by the police to explain his role in the case of assault and intimidation reported against him by one Dada Olusegun.
Olusegun, had after the incidence of Friday, where he alleged to have been. Intimidated and assaulted by Adeyanju and his gang members had reported to the Zone 3 command of the Nigeria police and subsequently charged him to court for harassment, criminal intimidation, assaults, battery and threat to life.
?But efforts by the police to bring Adeyanju to answer to the charges had proved abortive as the PDP scribe has continued to shun police invitation.
The police had on Saturday tracked him to the last address he gave as his residential address obtained from a public document only to be told that no one by the name Deji Adeyanju lives in that address.
We also gathered that the police obtained his phone number and have placed several calls and text messages to him, but neither did he pick up the calls or respond to the messages.

Our correspondent who met with the Investigating Police Officer in charge of the matter gathered that an official letter of invitation was yesterday, 29th February delivered at the Wadata Plaza office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as Sofa Lounge, inviting Adeyanju and the manager of the lounge to appear on or before 11am on the 1st of March for questioning.
A source at the Police command said the invitation is to enable them present their side of the allegation as reported by the alleged victim.
However, both Adeyanju and the manager of the lounge as at the time of filing this report were yet to honour invitation.that an official letter of invitation was signed and dispatched yesterday the 29thFeburary 2016 to Mr. Adeyanju’s Wadata Plaza office and the manager of Sofa lounge asking for them to report on or before 11am on the 1st of March. As at the time of filing this report, the PDP new media director and the manager of Sofa Lounge refused to honour police invitation.
The DCO of Wuse Police station has since ordered the IPO to secure a warrant for his arrest from the magistrate court tomorrow.
