PDP Crisis: Mua’zu Jets Out Of Nigeria To Frustrate Removal Plot
So as the frustrate the bid byu some members of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to remove him from his present position, the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mua’zu has jetted out of the country.
Some of the out-going governors on the platform of the party has been scheming to ensure the removal Mua’zu and some other members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
It was gathered that as a result of the latest moves, Mua’zu, who before now was addressed as the “game changer” has jetted out of the country to tactically evade being forced to summon a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party where the decision to remove him may be adopted.
Mu’azu is being accused of having led the party in a poor outing at the March/April general elections but he has debunked such allegations saying that the “know it all” attitude of the governors and other leaders of the party worked against the fortunes of the PDP.
The presidency however said it is aware of Mu’azu’s trip as he may have informed President Goodluck Jonathan of his journey abroad.
However, some party members who spoke with our correspondents said the decision by Mu’azu to travel out of the country at the height of the internal crisis facing his leadership of the party is designed to frustrate the plot to remove him from office.
A member of the NWC of PDP who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that key members of the NWC would soon begin to disappear from Abuja as part of the game plan for dousing the heat within the party.
He said the plot to remove Mu’azu and eventually sack the NWC will lose steam when no key official of the party is found around to give vent to unceasing accusations being levelled against the NWC by some of the aggrieved members of the PDP particularly the out-going governors that are desirous of taking over the leadership of the party.
