PCNI Commence Free Medical Intervention In Bauchi
Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative?, PCNI, has commenced a five-day free medical intervention in Bauchi State, targeting about five thousand people with different ailments to benefit.

The free medical outreach ?is being rendered in collaboration with Pro-Health International, West African College of Surgeons and the Bauchi State Government.
Flagging-off the programme at Azare, the Headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area, the State Commissioner for Hea?lth, Dr. Zuwaira Ibrahim Hassan? said the medical outreach was aimed?ed at improving the health care status of people in the state.?
Dr. Zuwaira Hassan explained that people from the neighbouring states of Jigawa, Gombe and Yobe were also benefiting from the intervention.

She said that the state had provided a conducive working environment and qualified medical workers to support to the medical team for the smooth conduct of the exercise.?
The Executive Director, Pro Health International, Dr. Iko Ibanga said the services being rendered include general consultations, surgeries, gynaecology, paediatric, eye care services among others.
Dr. Ibanga said about 150 Cataract patients were targeted to undergo surgery with a view to correcting their eyesight challenges.
The Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative, PCNI?, had in February 2018 offered the same intervention at Bayara in the Bauchi State capital where more than three thousand people benefited.i
