Oyo Govt Promises Better Welfare For NYSC Members

The Oyo state government has said it will continue to place a very high premium on the welfare of corps members deployed to the state for the mandatory one-year national youth service scheme.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi gave the assurance in a message through his commissioner for youth and sports, Abayomi Oke, at the presentation of a newly constructed female hostel at the state NYSC orientation camp, Iseyin, to the state coordinator of the NYSC, Emola Ambekemo.

The Oyo state coordinator of the NYSC scheme and other dignitaries at the event shared the optimism of governor Ajimobi.

The gathering expressed the hope that the facility will greatly reduce the hardships often encountered by corps members, particularly females during orientation exercises and therefore urged them to make good use of the facility.
