Owerri Youths Pay Solidarity Visit To Orluzurumee, Extol Leadership
Owerri youths under the auspices of Owerri Zonal Youth Platform (OZTP) led by the President General, Chief Martin Opara have made known their support and appreciation of the President General of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Comr. Precious Nwadike.
Speaking during the high powered solidarity visit in his office in Owerri, Chief Opara described Comr. Precious Nwadike as a youth activist and a leader whose legacies speak volume within and outside Orluzurumee.
“Over the years before our inauguration, we have followed your activities both within and outside Orluzurumee and we appreciate your various kind gesture, hence, our visit to express our unalloyed support and appreciation to you as a man full of ideas and innovations”.
He further stated that Owerri youths have enjoyed in Comr. Precious Nwadike a relationship of a dependable activist in the social, cultural and political landmarks of the state and the nation at large.
“We are glad for the transparency of leadership you stood for and we urge you to continue with the good works you are doing”, the OZYP President General stated.
Chief Opara also stated that their visit was not only in political basis, pointing out that it is on the grounds of the brotherly relationship they share with Comr. Precious Nwadike and Orlu zone in general, that propel them to embark on the solidarity visit to express their support for the Publisher of Community Watchdog Newspapers.
“This solidarity visit is a brotherly interface; we are here on the grounds of the brotherly relationship we share with you and the zone”.
Lending his voice, the Owerri Municipal coordinator, of OZYP, Prince Chidi Obi said: “we pray you to continue to uphold those virtues for which you are well known and recognized for. Even as you are leaving the office, you should not allow yourself to be intimidated by anyone for standing in the line of truth.
“We are proud of your positive legacies and we as leaders of tomorrow will follow the path of peace, justice, unity and truth you stand for”.
The group also urged Comr. Precious Nwadike not to allow his media house to be politicized, stressing that he should at all times reflect his style of truth and fairness in the organization. They also pledged their support to whoever emerges as his successor as Orluzurumee Youth Assembly.
In his response, the PG of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, and Publisher of Community Watchdog Newspapers, Comr. Precious Nwadike expressed gratitude to Owerri youths and the leadership of Owerri Zonal Youths Platform for the honour done to him by their visit, adding that the organization (Orluzurumee Youth Assembly) will always strive to live up to expectation, irrespective of who succeeds him as President General.
“This organization will live up to expectation. We will not end the struggle until we get to the promised land. We must correct all the wrongs of the 2015 general elections come 2019. But before that, the elders must see reasons to empower the youths”.
He further charged Owerri Zonal Youth platform to always strive to be active in the political arena and to fight for youth empowerment in the zone.
“Always try to speak the truth with fairness and equity like the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly”, he concluded.
