Osinbajo’s Wife Raises Alarm Over High Level Of Drug Abuse
Wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, has raised alarm over the high level of drug abuse among Nigerian youths, saying it is threatening the foundation of the nation.
The wife of the Vice President, who is a member of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Drug Abuse, raised the alarm when the committee paid a visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA headquarters in Abuja.
The Chairman of the Presidential Committee, General Buba Marwa (Rtd) and the Chairman of the NDLEA, Colonel Mohammed Abdullah (Rtd) promised the visiting team that concerted efforts are ongoing to control the abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
The Presidential Advisory Committee against Drug Abuse which also has the Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari as a member was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari on December 10, 2018, as part of the Federal Government’s responses to the nation’s drug problem.
