Olubadan Confers ‘Agbaakin Fiwajoye’ Chieftaincy Title On Communication Minister
Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, was omn Saturday, conferred with the Agbaakin Fiwajoye of Ibadanland chieftaincy title by the Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Saliu Adetunji.
The event, which held at the Popoyemoja palace, Ibadan, recorded heavy security presence due to thrrats made by some Obas not to attend the coronation.
Also honoured with the chieftaincy was Mr Ademola Folarin and his wife, Adenike. Both were conferred with Agbaakin Maiyegun and Yeye Agbaakin Maiyegun of Ibadanland respectively.
Among those present at the installation were former governor of the state and Osi-Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, Dr Wale Babalakin(SAN) as well as Mogajis in Ibadan.
Ladoja urged all to embrace the rightful path at the right time, saying the monarch was not a politician as claimed by some quarters. He said that Shittu, one of the recipient of the Chieftaincy titles is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
