Okezie Ikpeazu Wins Abia PDP Governorship Primaries
Frontline aspirants in the race for the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has emerged victorious in the primary election held in Umuahia on Monday.
Ikpeazu scored 487 votes to defeat 7 others aspirants including the former minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu, in an election generally classified as peaceful, fair and transparent.
His closest challenger, Uche Ogah scored 103, while the former Labour and Productivity Minister, Emeka Wogu scored 33 votes.
Other candidates at the election include Iheanacho Okezie Orji who scored 1 Vote, Marc Wabara with 3 Votes and Okey Emuchey with 3 votes. FN Nwosu scored 5 votes, while Acho Nwakanma scored 5 votes. 9 votes caste was declared invalid.
