Nyanya Bomb Blast Mastermind Arrested in Sudan
The master mind of the motor park bomb blast in Nyanya, a suburb of the Federal Capital Terriroty, Abuja, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche has been arrested in Sudan.
Ogwuche’s arrested is coming two days after him and a co-masterminds of the attack – Rufai Abubakar Tsiga were said to be on the run and declared wanted, with a N25 million reward placed on their head by the State Security Service (SSS).
Earlier, today, reports said the Ogwuche had escaped to Sudan and was placed unde r the watch of the InterPol.
The agency however revealed that the co-masterminds of the attack – Rufai Abubakar Tsiga and Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche – were on the run. It placed a N25 million reward on their head for anyone with useful information about their whereabouts.
Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, who was a member of the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Army from 2001-2006, was arrested in Sudan through the help of the Military Attaché to the Nigerian High Commission in Sudan and with the support of international security operatives.
He is a student of Arabic Language at the International University of Africa, Sudan is a British born Nigerian. He deserted the Army in 2006.
He was said to have been previously involved in terrorist activities which led to his arrest at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Nov. 12, 2011 on arrival from the UK, but was released on bail to his father, retired Col. Agene Ogwuche on Oct. 15, 2012 following intense pressure from human rights activists, who alleged human rights violation.
