NSCDC To Deploy Drones To Protect Critical Infrastructure
The Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC says it will deploy new technology such as drones and closed circuit television, CCTV, monitoring devices to monitor and protect the nation’s critical infrastructure.
Assistant commandant general in charge of critical national assets and infrastructure Jonathan Iyogho who stated this while briefing news men in Abuja said there is need to sensitize the general public on the corps new strategy aimed at protecting the nation’s critical assets, especially with the current security challenges facing the country.
On the protection of critical infrastructure, an expert said there was need to collaborate with concerned interest groups to achieve the desired objectives of the planned workshop.
The workshop which has been slated to hold on November 24, 2017 is intended to draw participants from the oil and environment sectors, security personnel, relevant ministries and parastatals.
