NRC To Test-Run Lagos-Ibadan Rail In February
The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, says it will test run the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge line early February.
The NRC Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria, stated this at Ijoko in Ogun State, during the routine inspection of the Lagos-Ibadan Standard Gauge Rail Project.
The NRC Managing Director, who was satisfied with the level of work said the tracks was moving towards Lagos with 1.5 kilometers being laid daily.
He explained that the track laying would reach Iju towards Agege corridor of Lagos state within the next seven days.
Mr. Okhiria said work had been completed between Kajola and Abeokuta as all the formations have been put in place to expedite the tracks laying.
The Managing Director of the NRC and other officials, representatives of the construction company and journalists monitored the inspection.
