We Have No Case Against Gbenga Daniel -EFCC Witness
A mild drama ensued at the resumed hearing of the case between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) and the former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel held today at the Federal High Court Isabo, Abeokuta.
Prosecution witness Ajibola Kaka Esq. shocked the counsel to the EFCC when he disclosed before Justice Olanrewaju Mabekoje, that they (himself and his client) were fully satisfied with the transaction on land matters relating to them, admitting that his client was duly compensated with a reallocated parcel of land with cash of N2.5m for the improvement of their building.
“We agreed on the choice land that was reallocated to us and we took cash compensation of N2.5m with other necessary conditions met”
Ajibola Kaka then declared that they have no case whatsoever against Daniel on the said land transaction, alleging that the EFCC was only trying to drag his client in to implicate the former governor.
The matter has been adjourned to the 5/12/2014
