A source who spoke to a correspondence of Abusidiqu said that this development was a
recent phenomenon, for the filling station had been selling at the official price of N97 per litre.
Our correspondent reported that no reason was given as par the sudden increase in the price of Petrol.
Abusidiqu also gathered that the NNPC filling had, in the past, hoarded Kerosene product and sold the product to the retailers in the town; the retailers, in turn, sold the product for an astronomical fee of N150 per litre to the final consumers.
