Nigeria’s Hopeful, Blessing Okagbare Loses 100 Metres Women Final
Nigeria’s hopeful of a medal at the ongoing London 2012 Olympic, Blessing Okagbare failed to get anywhere near as she came in the women’s 100m final of the Games.
The race was won by Jamaica’s Fraser-Pryce in 10.75secs.
Although she came last at the final, the 10.92secs she ran is her personal best in her career.
She refused to speak to the media, claiming, “Ive got cramps I can’t stand.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Amaechi Morton stopped midway into men’s 400m hurdles claiming pains in his legs.
Ogho-Oghene Egwero, Peter Emelieze and Obinna Metu all failed to qualify for the men’s 100m semi-finals.
