NIGERIANS WANT AIRLINES TO COMPENSATE, FINED FOR SHODDY SERVICE, POLL DATA SHOWS
Nigeria air travellers want airline operators in the country to compensate travellers for service inefficiencies and also pay fines, according to results of a poll on aviation service.
At least 90 percent of respondents an opinion poll conducted by Ngozi-Okonjo Iweala (NOI) Polls, one of Nigeria’s leading opinion research and knowledge management organization, want operators to treat them with respect as they decry the condition of service being rendered by them.
According to the result of the polls which sampled 510 respondents, airline passengers expressed grave disappointment with the quality of services rendered by local airline operators especially in the area of flight schedules, handling of customer’s luggage and behaviours displayed by front desk officers.
Respondents also spoke about their satisfaction with the job Aviation Minister Stella Oduah is doing in the industry. Forty-nine percent of the respondents say they agree the minister is making progress, but further suggested on the areas in the sector that should receive more attention.
