Nigerians Hail Army For Freeing 1000 Boko Haram Captives
The Nigerian Army has continue to receive commendation for its recent announcement of the rescue of 1,000 captives by Boko Haram.
The success followed a week-long battle with the group.
50 militants were killed, according to army spokesperson, Texas Chukwu.
Women, children and some young men who had been forced to become Boko Haram fighters, were among those rescued on Monday
Chukwu said in a statement that the captives were rescued in Borno state, and were treated at a military facility.
