Nigeria, UN Body Sign Agreement On Hosting Of Tourism Summit
Nigeria and the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)officially signed the agreement for the hosting of the 61st meeting of the UNWTO regional commission for Africa.
Speaking during the ceremony at the headquarters of the UNWTO on Friday in Madrid,Spain,Nigeria’s Information and Culture Minister, Mr. Lai Mohammed said the Regional Commission for Africa meeting which will bring Africa’s tourism ministers under one roof as well as other stakeholders,will serve as a platform to showcase the county’s tourism potentials.
The meeting which is billed for 4-6 June 2018 in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city has the theme, Tourism Statistics :a Catalyst for Development.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Lai Mohammed, signed for the Nigerian Government while UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili signed for the global tourism body,here.
