Ngige Advises Youths To Embrace Blue Collar Jobs
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has warned that there are no white collar jobs in the country, advising youths to embrace blue collar jobs.
Ngige stated this in Abuja, on Thursday.
His words: “There are no white collar jobs any longer. If you are waiting for one, you will wait for a long time. People are finding employment in blue collar jobs, and it is even more profitable,” Ngige said
He added that farming, carpentry, bricklaying, tiling and others constitute the blue collar jobs.
Ngige said the President Muhamamdu Buhari-led administration was using the blue collar jobs to redeem youths from joblessness caused by lack of white collar jobs.
His words: “In farming alone, this government has generated lots of jobs. You eat Anambra rice here, in Abuja I eat Kano rice and even Imo, too, has come up wih theirs. All these bring employment.”
