NGF: How Akpabio Doctored Document with Old signatures of 19 Governors (See Document)
Following the defeat of Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau state, the consensus candidate in the camp of President Goodluck Jonathan who contested the chairmanship seat of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF) with the incumbent, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of River state, the scam put together by the President’s hatchet man, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom state has been uncovered.
Mr Akpabio shortly after the re-election of Rotimi Amaechi, which him and other governors loyal to the president rejected released a doctored document purportedly signed by 19 state governors to elect Jang as the chairman in a move to break the Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF.
The doctored document which Akpabio circulated through his media aide, Deacon Jackson Udom claimed that 19 governors voted Jang as the NGF chairman. But a close scrutiny of the document showed that the signatures on it were those collected before the election today.
As a matter of fact, the April date written on the documents that contained the signatures showed was changed to May in what looks like Akpabio’s handwriting.
Aside changing the date on the document, The Akwa Ibom governor also used his pen to fill the name of Jang on the document in a manner suggesting criminal conspiracy and fraud.
This smart but criminal move by Akpabio to have a candidate of the President win the chairmanship seat of the Nigerian Governors Forum at all cost as he may have promised the president is coming despite the Director General of the forum’s announcement before all the governors that governor Rotimi Amaechi won the election with 19 votes as against his rival’s 16 votes.
