New Year Message from APC Youth Forum
2013 has been a very interesting year in the political realm, and I am glad to say that we were profoundly involved in its development, not as onlookers but as participants. The All Progressive Youth Forum (APYF) started as a prelude to an institutional framework that will cater for the youth constituency within a political party; help actualise the formation of the APC, aid in growing its ranks by involving young, vibrant and educated people into the fold.
Since the beginning of 2013, we have embarked on series of meetings, programs, television shows, social media contacts, nationwide tours, newsletters, policy positions etc in order to galvanise the youths into the APC.
We are extremely satisfied with the way the year ended, and the euphoria both the party and this forum created as a result. And all these wouldn’t have been possible if not for you and your commitment, belief and support in this cause and in this forum.
2014 would be the most critical year of this party and the youths as well. We must strive to work harder and pitch in more. We must strategize to concretely begin to realise our dreams of being stakeholders in the political process. We will make amends where need be. We will improve where it’s necessary. But together, we will build a virile and a formidable youth wing of this party to ensure both the victory of the APC in the 2015 elections and the triumph of the youths as partners not servants.
I hope you will join us to make 2014 even a better year for the Youths in politics than 2013 was.
On behalf of the APYF members from all across the country, We wish you a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Long Live the Progressives Movement
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria
