Nat’l Confab: Jonathan Appoints Justice Kutigi, Prof Akinyemi As Chairman, Vice Respectively

President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Honourable Justice Idris Lebo Kutigi and a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of the forthcoming National Conference.
Announcing the appointment in a statement on on Monday, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, also announced the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Valerie Azinge as Secretary.
The statement said, “The appointees are to resume at Abuja on Wednesday, 5th March, 2014 and would be received on arrival by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.”
It would be recalled that President Jonathan had announced last week during his presidential media chat that the leadership of the national conference would be made known this week.
With this appointment of the leadership team of the conference, the stage is now set for the proper sitting of representatives to the conference.
