The indigenes of Nasarawa State are presently on rampage at the Nasarawa Local Government Secretariat which is the home town of the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Muhammed Uba Ahmed over the impeachment rows against Governor AlMakura.
The indigenes have thrown their weights behind the continuity of the Governor and threatened that the attempted impeachment be forgotten by the Speaker else they will throw decency into the winds by going extra miles to sustain the reign of AlMakura in office as the Governor of the State.
The indigenes both Youth and elderly trooped out in hundreds and marched from the LGA Secretariat round the town, appealed to the Emir of Nasarawa to caution the Speaker and cohorts on their attempt to throw the State into confusion.
They showed solidarity to the Governor who they described as the peoples Governor that has delivered the dividends of democracy to the people of the State and professed their satisfaction in his performance.
Chanting anti-PDP songs, they alleged President Goodluck Jonathan of threatening the peace of the State by his clamp down against opposition Governors. They challenge PDP to wait till February and test their popularity at the polls and stop the fraudulent attempt to foist PDP on them at all cost.
