Names of 53 Abducted Chibok Girls Who Escaped Released [See List]

The names of 53 Chibok students who were abducted by members of the Boko Haram sect from their school on April 14, but later escaped from their captors have been released.

Although it cannot be immediately confirmed how the names where obtained, the DailyTrust newspaper which published the names of the escaped girls said they obtained the names of the teenage girls from their parents.

The list includes those who escaped on the night of their capture at the Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State on April 14, as well as those who escaped from Boko Haram camps where they were being held.

 Seven of the girls are Muslims, while the remaining are Christians.
